Route 2 detour for St Vincent Street works

Nelson City Council are currently upgrading the water infrastructure along St Vincent Street.

The next stage will require the closure of Halifax St near the Haven Rd roundabout, which will detour Route 2. 

From Tuesday 23 September, Route 2 will use QEll Drive and Trafalgar Street. The two bus stops near Auckland Point School/Trafalgar Centre will be closed.

The Route 2 bus will stop at the two bus stops on Trafalgar St near Trafalgar Park/Kingsgate Motel. Please note, the timetable at these two stops only lists times for Route 3, you will need to use the eBus website to track R2. 

This detour will be in place till mid-December 2025.
