The cheapest fares on eBus come with a Bee Card, but you must tag on and off the bus for the system to work.
Tagging on and off lets us know where and when you got on and off the bus, allowing our system to automatically calculate the correct fare, including any concessions you have added to the card.
We have no way of knowing how far that person has travelled if a passenger fails to tag off, and no way of recording the correct fare. We also use anonymized travel data to assess the performance of our network and to work out where we can make changes and improvements.
If you forget to tag off you will be charged more than the cost of your journey.
We are unable to refund the difference or retroactively tag you off the bus, so please remember to tag on and off!
