Nelson North Pilot Service Timetable

Nelson Tasman Community Transport Trust undertook a North Nelson bus survey to assess demand for a bus service past Atawhai. As a result of the survey a pilot programme has been created. 

The pilot will run initially for ten weeks:
Tuesday 19 August 2025 - first service
Saturday 25 October 2025 - last service

The Volunteer Drivers will pick-up or drop-off passengers at designated bus stops.  However, the bus can stop anywhere along the route by prior arrangement, and only where it is safe to do so.  Please arrange this at your time of booking.

Bikes
There are two new lock-up areas for bikes located at the Nelson North Country Club and Atawhai Community Church. They can also carry up to three (3) bikes with the vehicle.  Again book this when you book your seat on the bus.

Pricing
All seats are $3 one-way per person (regardless of age).
Children 10-13 years can be accompanied by a sibling 14+years or an adult.

All bookings need to be made in advance of the service and are open from tomorrow 7 August 2025 via ph: 03 528-6543.  We encourage people to book and pay for 10-trips and make a bank transfer (to avoid merchant fees when paying by debit/credit card).
