Dogs trial complete

Dogs are now permanent passengers on the eBus!

In 2023, eBus began a trial of dogs on buses. Phase 1 was to allow small dogs in a suitable carry container. This trial has been successful and has led to Phase 2, allowing all dogs on board, this time with a muzzle and leash, this trial began in April 2024.

On Thursday 14 August at the Joint Regional Transport Committee the Councillors voted to end the trial and make this a permanent fixture of the eBus service.

The rules remain in place when traveling with your very good girls and boys:

Dogs must be muzzled and leashed.

Small dogs can either be muzzled or in a carry case.

Dogs can only travel during certain times of day.

 One dog per person.

If your dog makes a mess, it’s your job to clean it up. Each bus is fitted with a cleaning kit.

Dogs are not allowed on seats.

 Dogs travel free!
