Route Changes for Richmond Santa Parade. Sunday 3 December 2023

Please note that this event has been cancelled due to weather.

Queen Street, Richmond will be closed on Sunday 3 December 2023, due to a road closure in place for the Richmond Santa Parade. This means some of the Richmond bus stops will also be closed or moved for the day. Buses will travel down Talbot Street instead of Queen Street, where a temporary bus stop will be set up on Talbot Street opposite Pak'nSave.

Route 1 eBus changes

To and from Berryfields, Route 1 will travel from Lower Queen Street to temporary stops on Talbot Street near Pak'nSave, and travel via Salisbury Road to Main Road Stoke. It will not travel via Queen Street, Hill Street and Champion Road.

For buses travelling to Berryfields, the following Route 1 stops will be closed:
  • Champion Road at Avery Fields
  • Hill Street near Champion Road
  • Hill Street near Kingsley Place
  • Queen Street at Hunter Ave
  • Richmond Interchange Westbound
  • Queen St Opposite Noel Leeming
For buses travelling to Nelson, the following Route 1 stops will be closed:
  • Queen Street at Lemon Grass
  • Richmond Interchange Eastbound
  • Queen Street near Wilkes Street
  • Hill Street at Sutton Street
  • Hill Street near Meadow Lane
  • Champion Road at Countdown Richmond

Route 2 eBus changes

Route 2 will start and finish at temporary stops on Talbot Street near Pak'nSave, and travel via Salisbury Road to Main Road Stoke. Route 2 will not travel to Queen Street, Wensley Road or Bateup Road.

For buses travelling towards Richmond, the following Route 2 stops will be closed:
  • Richmond Interchange Westbound
  • Wensley Road at New Life Church
  • Bateup Road No 92
For buses travelling towards Nelson, the following Route 2 stops will be closed:
  • Bateup Road No 69
  • Wensley Road at Richmond Cemetery
  • Richmond Interchange Eastbound
  • Salisbury Road near Burger King
